Bank Holiday Blues

Bank Holiday weekend was only three days ago and I’m already reminiscing. Whilst I spent my weekend relaxing and exploring quirky little villages in the English countryside. Others that I know made a bee line towards our capital city. This weekend, London was a hive of all activity. In Clapham Common in SW4, hundreds of thousands of festival lovers from up and down the country came to see world famous artists on stage such as Rudimental, Nero, Dizzee Rascal and Gorgon City!

Elsewhere in the city others attended Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s biggest street party as it celebrated its 50th year! Notting Hill Carnival originated as a way for Afro-Caribbean communities to celebrate their own cultures and traditions here in the UK. Over the years it has developed into a massive event celebrated every August Bank Holiday weekend attended by people from all walks of life intent on soaking up the unique atmosphere.

So whether you spent your long weekend photographing the beauty of the countryside, dancing your socks off at a festival or being totally tropical at a sunny street party. Be sure to put those images to good use and preserve those good times onto something that’ll last a lifetime!
